Rio Bravo Cantina was a popular tex-mex style restaurant serving metro Atlanta from 1985 - 2004. We are currently seeking crewmembers to be a part of the re-launch of Ray's Rio Bravo. We are proud of our made-from-scratch menu served in a fun and inviting atmosphere. Come be a part of the Rio Fresh, Rio Fun, Rio Bravo experience!
As a Line / Prep Cook with Ray's Rio Bravo, you will have general responsibilities that apply to all kitchen crewmembers, as well as specific duties that will apply to your position.
Job Description

Quality preparation of menu items in accordance with the policies and standards of Ray's Rio Bravo

Ensures the proper preparation, positioning of the entire kitchen and proper use of kitchen equipment

Constant awareness of product usage in an attempt to avoid waste
-
Willingness to cooperate with coworkers to make guest satisfaction a top priority
-
Ensures the freshness and "picture perfect" appearance of all menu items
-
Follow all food rotation and re-stocking procedure using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method
-
Enforces all standards and policies of Ray's Rio Bravo

Ensures speed and efficiency in preparing food orders

Maintains all equipment and continually focused on the cleanliness and sanitation of your station

Performs all duties assigned by your immediate supervisor
Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent is prefered
-
Must be 18 years of age or older

Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience required

Graduate of a culinary institute, military school or formal on-the-job training preferred
-
Must possess the following characteristics: dexterity, organization, pride, responsibility, energetic and team player

Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
-
Able to stand, bend, crawl, use hands to grasp, stoop, reach overhead, walk for 10-12 hours at a time

Able to lift objects up to 50 lbs
